A: Make sure your files are up to date from dayz Sometimes you just need to disconnect and try again and if problems still continue try the other servers.
Q: I got killed due to x reason. Lost all my stuff. Can you reset my character?
A: No, we can no longer reset characters or equipment.
Q: Can I join the ‘DayZ Development Team?’
A: Use the contact form with details about what you do and how you can help us out. If possible attach some reference work such as 3D models you have made and we’ll take a look at it and get back to you ASAP.
Q: Can I host a DayZ Server?
A: Use the contact form if your server has these broad requirements and wish to be run 24/7:
Windows OS (only tested on Windows Server 2008)
4GB RAM
Dual Core CPU (Quad recommended)
10Mbps down, 5Mbps up (considered a minimum for ~25 players, can spike well above)
Able to run the custom HIVE console EXE application
RDP for DayZ staff so updates can be self applied. Alpha is a very rough time, 10 updates van be released in an hour
MySQL (currently not used, but in Beta/Release each server will run its own DB)
Q: Can you give us the mission files so me and my friends can play on a private server?
A: The way DayZ works means that you cannot run the mission privately because it is synced to our external program and database. A possible DayZ Lite may be released in the future where people can make their own missions.
Q: Turn PvP Off?
A: No. PvP is a core part of the DayZ atmosphere and we aren’t going to restrict it. Just go inland away from the built up towns along the coast where players spawn.

Q: I have a installation problem. Help?!
A: Make sure you’re running both ArmA II and ArmA II Operation Arrowhead. This will get rid of most common issues such as ‘CA Building Parts’ missing. The read me is a clear step by step guide for those users who own retail copies.
Q: Can you make the day/night cycle go any faster?
A: No.
